Linen Care
Warm gentle machine wash with like colours.
Line dry where possible otherwise tumble dry on low setting (ensure you do not use a high/hot setting as this will damage the fibre).
Wash separately or with similar fabrics (do not mix with towels or other items likely to leave lint)
Do not bleach or dry Clean.
Do not leave sheets on the clothesline or in direct sun for a prolonged period as natural fibres are susceptible to sun bleaching.
With the correct care, your bedding should last many years. However we do ask you to keep in mind that IN BED linen bedding is put through a stone washing process to ensure it is beautiful and soft to sleep in from the moment you receive it (much like all other stone or pre-washed linen on the market). This can somewhat shorten the lifespan of linen (fitted sheets in particular as they come under a lot more wear and tear than other items) however without this process, linen is incredibly coarse and unpleasant to sleep in. The life span can be greatly improved by following these simple steps:
- Change your sheets regularly (we recommend every 1-2 weeks)
- Rotate your sheets with 1 or 2 other sets so the same ones aren’t going back on your bed as soon as you have washed & dried them (much like a favourite t-shirt or pair of jeans, you need to give your favourite sheets time to rest so the fibres don’t wear out sooner than you’d like)
- Avoid direct contact with cosmetics or skin products not properly dried on skin (such as hair or body oil, heavy creams and especially specific acne treatment which may include peroxide or other bleaching properties.)
- Do not wash with sharp-edged clothing accessories, such as metal zipper, buttons, metal hooks.
